A Few of My Favorite Things:
1. A blue notebook: This is where I have started to write as a sort of diary. A small, simple place in which I can freely express and understand my feelings and the events that go on within my life.
2. A coffee maker: This reminds me of my parents. For my entire life (almost 21 years) they have not failed to have a cup of coffee each day. Now I am following in their footsteps and learning to slowly make coffee for myself.
3. An Ipad in an orange case: A Christmas present from my parents. An easy way for me to express myself, and hopefully the means to achieve one of my greatest goals: to start a comic.
4. Dinosaur salt and pepper shaker: I remember when my mom and I found these at our local target. We both thought they were absolutely adorable and bought them immediately. It was a good day.
5. A worn and disheveled small notebook: This was given to me by my mom on the day I moved into my freshman dorm room. It holds a mother's love for her daughter, a sweet note written inside to encourage me and give me a sense of purpose.
6. A roll of tape: Ever since I was little I was messing around with tape. I made "inventions" of which tape was a key ingredient. My love for tape, and my tendency to overuse it, still stands to this day
7. A list of colors and the codes: In my hope for organization, my love for colors, and my love to be able to easily and quickly know what color looks like, I have created many color codes throughout my life. They always seem to bring me a great deal of happiness.
8. A black marker: In most of my art throughout my life I have tended to draw, paint, create, with a black line around the edge. While I am trying to move away from that in many aspects, I still have a love for black markers and materials, and the intensity and depth that they bring to a piece.
